Back in Germany I had swimming lessons once a week from year 2 till year 6. And because my parents had a boat, my dad was all over water safety. I remember being in a life jacket when ever we were on the boat. And that was back in the 70s

4 November 1930 | Dutch Jewish boy, Benjamin Straus, was born in Bergh.

He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Westerbork in December 1942. He was murdered in a gas chamber after the arrival selection.

Today's #ootd is this 1920 Paul Poiret afternoon dress. It is both distinctly 1920s, with the geometric motifs and folded neckline and sleeves, but it also looks very modern, like it could be worn today. Absolutely stunning. I love the side buttons.
