Yup, family verdict "looks like mud, tastes amazing". No leftovers. Not sure putting in a bowl with chives and a drizzle of cream helped. LOL Love the zero waste, wish it looked nicer.

Ok, so Potato Peel Soup ... tastes delicious. I added cream-style corn, sour cream, cheddar and lots of spices. Looks like ... well, let's say it tastes a lot better than it looks.
Big pot of potato peel soup on the stove. Looks like liquid compost, tastes surprisingly delicious, especially when dipping bread into it. Thrifty, tasty, really ugly ....

I hope the rest of your week goes better. *hug*

I'd have expected them to be crispy, too. Brand? That feels like something that you eat at a food cart, not buy at the grocery store.

I shouldn't be surprised that deep fried pigeon head is a food, but I still am. Ok ... what were the "wings" really?

I've never had it, but I was at the table with a woman who was having it for the first time. Her verdict "Tastes like eyeball" ... I didn't ask. So what did you think of it?

What’s the "strangest" thing you’ve ever cooked or eaten? Have you tried insects, exotic fruits (and yes, that's relative - what's exotic for one is common for someone else), or spicy dishes? I love haggis and Scottish white pudding, which probably seems weird to some.

What is your favorite frugal food hack? Groceries are expensive these days (and it's not localized - everyone is experiencing this all over the world), so I'd love to know your best ideas for eating well on a tight grocery budget.

:D Love that he does that for you.

Jams are so sweet! I haven't experimented with low-sugar pectin because I haven't seen it in our local stores, but it's on my to do list. I made a Ragtag Jam (and I'll post it soon) - added zucchini, which thickens and cuts the sweet - and the kids gobbled it up.

So just the typical "Does anyone know what this USED to be? Oh, gag, can we even save this dish or does it just need to go right in the trash?"

Love that you love doing the dishes! :D I always soak cutlery as soon as I start doing the dishes .... possibly maybe might miss spots on them, too.

Sounds lovely!! Is Meal soup a recipe or "it's soup and it's a meal"? And is Italian Meatloaf more than using Italian spices? I love seeing what other people are making.

Chapman's has a Butter Tart ice cream? Going to go talk to the Sobeys manager about why they don't stock that .....

I did the same thing the other day - too lazy to deal with getting out and cleaning the food processor, I'll just shred these two cabbages with a knife. LOL My mixer has a dedicated spot on the counter - I'd never use it otherwise. Bread looks great.
