'Tis me, ##SiggySchnauzer at Winchester Cathedral's Christmas Market! I'm wearing my black Mekuti harness and snowflake bandana and sitting on astroturf, in front of a huge, real Christmas tree, decorated beautifully with purple baubles. The sun is shining and casting shadows on this chilly December day 🥶 Yes, for once I refused to look at mum and the camera 'cos... there was a Bratwurst stall opposite yet Mum wanted me to sit and pose??!! NO CHANCE! I was off!

Annual reminder to water your Christmas tree poems …
This poem is written in the shape of a Christmas tree (well, most of it is) … Needles I wrote a poem in the shape of a Christmas tree but then forgot to water it and only a few days later [but the words beyond this point are scattered around the bottom of the page, like needles which have fallen from a Xmas tree) there were words all over the carpet

Pals, no forest walk today 😞 'cos I've been to a Christmas Market! 🎄

Despite appearances, I'm full of beans (well, maybe a tiny bit of stolen bratwurst - the food court is my favourite bit but means I keep mum & dad on their toes 😆).

'Tis me, #SiggySchnauzer, sitting in a Selfie (or should that be S-Elfie!) cabin at Winchester Christmas Market! I'm wearing a white bandana printed with silvery snowflakes ❄️. I'm sitting on a red, patterned rug in front of a (fake) fire, armchairs either side. There are three books stood on top of a green garland which is draped across the top of the mantelpiece with 2 red knitted christmas stockings hanging either side. There's a pile of pine cones and stack of logs on the hearth. 'Tis me, #SiggySchnauzer, standing in a Selfie (or should that be S-Elfie!) cabin at Winchester Christmas Market! 'Tis me, #SiggySchnauzer, standing by a MASSIVE couldron of Gluhwein at Winchester Christmas Market! I wasn't very close, honest. Mum says it smelt amazing 🍷 AAAaaand... I'm not looking at the camera 😆 Saw a few dawgs in christmas jumpers there but it wasn't that cold (we've been in the snow before but today - just one shower) AND I'm due a groom soon so a bit hairy right now (my legs are pretty curly here!).

Heather (the black and white cat) loves sitting on her blanket on the windowsill here, sun puddling 👏 but it makes for a window that gets covered in nose prints preeeeety quickly 🤔 Oh yes pals, Xmas decs are up!

'Tis me, #SiggySchnauzer! I got so mucky on my walk just now, I had to have a bath 😲 Here I am, post bath, wearing my dressing gown (it wicks the moisture away so I don't need much drying off), chewing my post-bath treat while in my old bed in the kitchen... so I can't do my usual post-bath revenge rub along the bottom of the sofa. Drat!

I'm in my hi-viz coat again because it's really frosty and cold out and it has a snuggly, fleecy lining. Earworm for you = 🎶 "Me and my shadow..."! 🎵 'Tis me, ##SiggySchnauzer! I'm in my hi-viz coat because it's really frosty and cold out and this new coat has a fleecy lining. I'm pausing (and posing) in the field, with the sun hanging low and bright behind me in the crisp blue November sky. There's a small woodland in the distance, its trees starting to show their winter thinness (is that even a word?).

November 2014

Lest We Forget
"Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red" As memorial commemorating the 100th anniversary of the start of World War 1, from 17th July to 11th November 2014, ceramic artist PAUL CUMMINS made, glazed and fired 888,246 ceramic red poppies, each representing one British or Colonial serviceman killed in the war. The poppies were "planted" by volunteers in the moat of the Tower of London to a design by TOM PIPER. The final 888,246th poppy was installed by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The name of the installation was the first line of a poem written by an unknown soldier, in a will discovered by Mr Cummins in 2012. After 11.11.2014, the installation was taken down. Some elements were permanently reinstalled in other displays and thr rest of the poppies were sold to raise money for charity. (Photo taken 16/11/16)

Mum wants to publish this CD cover - "Now that's what I call ORANGE!". #SiggySchnauzer's greatest hits include Dont bark for me, Marg & Tina; Hungry like the wolf; and Yesterday (all my kibble seemed so far away). Siggy is looking up at the camera in a sea of orange leaves (maybe helped a little bit with a filter 😉) #SiggySchnauzer on an uphill path, not looking at the camera. AGAIN. If he were, would he be thinking "I'm looking down on you peasant!"? Pub is shut again, no astrolling (= astro+rolling!) for #SiggySchnauzer who's looking through the bars of the closed gate. Again. Almost a weekly occurrence!
