Salvation Army in Canada is not the same as the US, I believe. Charter of rights make environment much different than persecution in US. Like many religious charities though LGBTQ people are barred from leadership roles🫤
It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

Used these lovely Franklin books a lot in the 80’s when I was teaching Kindergarten❤️ Thanks for the memory.
Franklin the Turtle was created by Canadians Paulette Bourgeois (writer) and Brenda Clark (illustrator) in the 1980s.
The books were written to teach children about self-respect, friendship, courage, honesty, empathy and overcoming fears.
