I wondered about that. But I guess I expected a category for writers/artists because of the emerging solarpunk and CliFi genres.

I treated the research like for any book, but reading your post, I think resources developed for writers to cope with the deep dive would help a lot.

Clarifying that one doesn’t need to click in each category would be helpful.🙂 I didn’t check under each category, even though I felt I was supposed to.

The max $200/month Canada Disability Benefit is part of Liberal govt @mark-carney.bsky.social “Disability Inclusion Action Plan” Inclusion‽! Bwahahaha!!! Don’t they mean impoverish, soul-destroying, send-them-to-euthanasia plan‽

If #cdnpoli really want to include ppl w disabilities, enact #UBI.
shireenj.bsky.social
That’s maximum. Not everyone will get the max. And that’s only for those who’ve managed to qualify for the disability tax credit. The rules have apparently been tightened to the point they exclude obviously disabled people. Says volumes about what Liberal party thinks about disability.

That max $200/month speaks volumes about what the Liberal party/govt thinks about people with disabilities, and those are the ones their rules let in. It’s even worse than the provincial Liberal and PC parties, which have kept ODSP in soul-sucking impoverishing territory for decades. #cdnpoli

Good grief. Those are bumpier than usual! I don’t think they’re edible. I didn’t treat them that way, anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s a kind of loneliness and longing in seeing a ship close yet far. Your photo captured that.

The Pink Panther - now, there’s a throwback! I wonder how many younger-than-baby boomers would get that reference?

This made me laugh. Total day brightener!

What a neat moment. Stunning photo!

The problem with the firehose of spammers and scammers — and now adding in the DAILY AI-generated author promo/bookclub offers — is you no longer have the bandwidth to determine fake from real. So you treat it all as fake. Big prob when legit finance call can’t get hold of you! CRTC needs to step up

Love this take by the @graze.social team.

On an Open Social Network rising tides lift all boats. This network breeds collaboration and cooperation that I've never experienced before.

Grateful that we get to work with @graze.social!

I think I’m not alone in expecting this. I’m sorry you’re having to give this up — it’s so hard when health takes away something you love. It must’ve been tough having to announce this. Be gentle with yourself.

Here, in the city, we have all three types, too. But the ones who treat people’s front gardens as dog toilets are fairly new. They’re young or not elderly anyway. I think they’re new dog owners since the pandemic began. Toronto has dog parks! And yet… I argued with one on here who justified it. 😳

Stunning. There are some houses in Toronto that seem to perch on the side of our ancient lakebed. The stairs to their front doors are nightmarish. They must be fit!

…learnt our organic certifiers are stricter. But I didn’t know how badly agribiz has denuded the planet. I found that almost too hard to read up on. But my novel is set in an 8C planet in the far future, and I had to learn and think about agriculture and diet. If that helps?

Something like: Writers and artists who’ve researched the depth of the climate crisis and the food systems’ destruction of our planet for their work. And become depressed.

It’s the food systems that really got to me. I’ve long noticed Canada’s food aisles are healthier than UK/US and…

Wow. That’s unethical. Here, that would be cause to complain to the College. And whatever penalty they imposed would be made public.

That’s…unreal. I’m so sorry you’re being subjected to such incompetence. I’ve started calling fuck-ups like this Covid Brain. Because, really, how could the doctor forget the critical part‽
