Voice control comes in handy when your hands and fingers can’t control the mouse well. I don’t know about trackballs. I never could get the hang of them.

I know that feeling - I default to the same chocolate cookbook. Familiar is comfortable. You know what you’re going to get. 😋

Yup. If I wish hard enough, will the universe transport it over? 😊

Yikes! That’s like how our ancient furnace kept the basement toasty. The modern one barely did. And once I replaced it with the cold climate heat pump, no more waste heating. The basement got super cold! (Got a second heat pump for AC and to heat the basement.)

Eggnog Orange Pecan Loaf. I poked holes in it as soon as came out and poured fresh OJ on top, rather ineptly. It’ll be a couple of hours before I know if it’s any good or not. Or maybe only an hour. The kitchen is cold!

Writing Time and Space was a lot of fun. To write that kind of SciFi requires a variety of research from cosmology to physics to technology. I think reading it lets you delve into those areas in an accessible way while playing out what-if scenarios that the author solves (usually) in a hopeful way.
Time and Space, A Time Travel Novel
Kidnapped into the future, Time must fight with Space to return to her present or die. A time travel novel set in Toronto that sucks you in until the very last word.

Thank you! It’s the third one in this series. It’s the only one set in the far future of 8C global warming. 😁😬 jeejeebhoy.ca/library/the-...

The reading up on it I did was good for the novel I’m writing, though. 😏

We’re already at 1.5C of global warming with us in the northern hemisphere at 1.9 or thereabouts. I last checked back in October and posted here on it.

We need public health and media to promote robust infection control: handwashing, cleaning, masks, ventilation, filtration. We’re facing a whole host of different pathogens and pollutants. It’s not just viruses in air, but also bacteria, smoke, volatile organic compounds that stick to surfaces.
