It IS a shame that a lot of cool and weird worldbuilding is going into this story, because it also is an extremely self indulgent and smut filled dark fantasy epic that no one but a few close friends will ever get to see.

For those who are afraid of "Messing with the settings":

OOSU lists all the stuff it can disable, gives you a recommendation on wether you *should* mess with it or not, and by clicking on the listed setting gives you a little explanation on what exactly it does.

Something is wrong with the pipes for the heaters in my house, my own heaters are off but I know my upstairs neighbor has his on because I can hear the pipes screeching like a dying animal. And the pipes run behind the wall in my bedroom so you can imagine how me trying to sleep has been going.

I don't know how helpful this is for you, but I made the switch to 11 because Autism and New Things (Linux) Scary, and I use OOSU10 and OOAPB to disable copilot and all the other AI and spyware crap. So should you find yourself having to switch to 11, it's worth looking into.

I'm all for pushing the player character into a bad situation that seems hopeless and desperate, I just have a hard time having fun when the bad guys are "Oh so superior" and insist to let you know at every opportunity. THAT is what sucks all the enjoyment out of an otherwise great story for me.

I might just take a break from Rogue Trader and go back to MH Wilds because act 3 sucks ass, marazhai sucks, yrliet sucks, playing a story arc where you are belittled and treated like trash or nothing more than a feral animal by a "superior" alien race and there is nothing you can do about it SUCKS.
