This story doesn’t mention that all 3 of these minor error audits were brought by a former Taggart Development executive who cost the city a lot of time and money by going after people critical of his developments and Tewin in particular. ottawacitizen.com/news/2022-ca...
2022 election campaign audits cost City of Ottawa over $450,000
Independent prosecutors have also declined to continue legal proceedings against the advocacy group Horizon Ottawa.

The alcohol in parks pilot program in #Ottawa is winding down at the end of October. Early indications are that it was successful with very few problems. The city will undertake a full review with Bylaw Services and make recommendations for next year. #ottnews
I’m at a bike share conference today and very enthusiastic to bring this momentum to the City of #Ottawa. Some news coming soon for our city, Gatineau and the NCC. #Ottnews
Thank you to the hard working people in bylaw service in the city of #Ottawa. You are greatly appreciated.
The new Heron Park Community Building is taking shape. I’m so proud of the work the community, my office, the construction team and city staff have done to make this a reality.
Today is the Panda Game in Capital Ward at Lansdowne Park! Game time is 12pm. Let’s go @carleton.ca ! Have fun, stay safe and enjoy the game.
Was a perfect day for the Fall Fest in Old Ottawa South. Congratulations to the Firehall team! Bouncy castles, band, poutine/popcorn/cotton candy, face painting, book readings, hay wagon ride, more! @marksutcliffe.bsky.social stopped by and I won’t tell you how this shot went!
Nice to see these portable fire hydrant water fountains in the city. This is at Fifth and QED.
Approximately 70% of renters in the City of Ottawa will be eligible for a rent reduction in 2026 in a change my team initiated in #Ottawa

After significant tree loss because of concerns from Hydro One on overhead lines, 25 new (low height) trees are being planted on Centennial blvd in Old Ottawa East. Thanks to residents and city staff for your feedback to Hydro One.
Pete can you send these pictures and info to me directly over email and I will ensure follow up. We got that Main Street issue cleared up as I understand it thanks to your help.

#ottawa, these brothers live here and have experienced the sudden, shocking loss of both parents. They NEED to keep their accessible home. We can and must help them.

I know Cayson. He is a delightful kid living with #MuscularDystrophy

A few years ago, his dad died suddenly. Then last year his mother died, leaving only an older brother to help care for him.

Help them continue to live in their wheelchair accessible home, please donate

The Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge will open this winter.
My goodness you can be difficult to engage with. So accusatory. The answer to your question is yes, including in this exercise on Main Street closer to the 417 where context made sense. Have a good day Mike.
There is a lot more height and density that has been added in the area, yet you are cherry picking one area (where the context is completely different), and your conclusion is that there is an objection to more homes everywhere when the opposite is true.
I would recommend reviewing the entirety of the changes made to the secondary plan along Main Street and in other areas of the community. The section you have highlighted is one area and has a different context then the other areas receiving more change.
Here is the latest #Ottnews on pool, beach and splash pad timelines. I’m proud to have improved this somewhat along with our staff but a modest amount of funding means a lot more quality of life for people across the city.
Every budget cycle at city hall I raise the issue of pool /splash pad /beach availability, trying to scrounge up a small amount of funding I can find to extend these times. There are complications with life guard availability but other cities have done this. www.ctvnews.ca/ottawa/artic...
Parents want to see wading pools open longer as season winds down
As of Sunday, wading pools will be no more as the City of Ottawa gets ready to close them for the season.

At the very least a multi use pedestrian/bike path through that stretch could make sense. Construction detours continue to be a challenge all over the city.
Hi Pete, I’ll send these photos in to staff now. Sorry to see it hasn’t been solved yet. Signs shouldn’t be placed this way blocking a highly used bike lane.

Congratulations to @shawnmenard.bsky.social, the people of Capital Ward, and all of the regular people who have been lobbying the City of Ottawa for years for finally getting the Alta Vista Transportation Corridor removed from the Transportation Master Plan and saving People’s Park.
