The rapid rise of social media has definitely increased polarisation in the west. Like all new technologies I am certain we will (eventually) learn to use it better. I wonder if this site is part of that learning and desire to come to a more balanced place as many abandon X.

Absolutely disgusted with doctors strike. They got the biggest pay rise in years, the country’s finances are dire and they want to punish sick people. Oh and their figures are dodgy.

I recall in the 60s, Remembrance Day was one solemn Sunday morning. That was it.
It was a moving occasion at our local memorial and attended by actual WW1 and WW2 veterans. Unlike the mawkish weeks long competition for the most tasteless display of a poppy that it's become

Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP.
