Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

Sometimes I get curious and make a chart. This one is the percentage of eligible voters that are actively registered in Michigan compared to the US from 2012-2024. Then I look at it for awhile and look for the story it tells me.

This exchange should remind us all of the critical importance of amplifying state and local election officials. Return your ballot in person is always great advice. Providing more detail than that requires localized knowledge.

If you have received a mail ballot, and have not returned it yet, DO NOT PUT IT IN THE MAIL, regardless of your state. Drop it off at a drop box or an election office (or early voting site if your state allows), or bring your unvoted ballot to a voting site and vote in person.

Mail-in voters who haven't returned ballots yet: Check your state's deadline to make sure your vote gets counted.

If your ballot must be received by Election Day, consider stopping by a ballot drop box or early voting site. It may be too late for the U.S. Postal Service to deliver it by Nov. 4...

WOW! The Washington Post obtained the rest of the body cam footage showing that the drunk-driving ICE agent promised to check if the arresting officer's partner was Haitian. "I’m going to run some checks when I get back." He added that he would have him deported if "not legit."
