I urge everyone who is understandably disturbed by the petition news to consider how very unlikely it is for the Court to even take this up, much less reverse Obergefell. Unlike abortion, marriage opponents don’t have the same social movement that anti-abortion forces did, which was core to the GOP.
Obergefell v. Hodges made me believe in the whole "arc of history bends towards justice." In the 90s, I didn't think gay marriage would be legalized in my lifetime because homophobia was so deeply ingrained. We would have never gotten here without the decision and now it may be overturned.

So apparently Andrew Cuomo forgot that in the Housing Lottery there are income brackets - so the apartments separated for a family of 2 earning 200k is not one where the theoretical homeless mother with a Fheps voucher can move into-because he doesn’t live here- #NewYorkPolitics
