But there's room to be creative: charging each hotel guest a TTC fare for each night to also discourage driving/Ubering, increasing parking ticket fines by an amount proportional to the TTC's deficit, etc.

A new sneaky GO Transit policy I just noticed. The weekend pass used to be either 24 hours or the end of the weekend, whichever came first. I used to be able to take trips on both Sat evening and Sun morning on one pass.
Now it is only until the end of the current day :(

Call me crazy, but I really don't think it has to take multiple years.
Councillor Lily Cheng asks how long this "pivot" on the Yonge Street bike lanes, caused by the province's legislation, will delay the installation of the new infrastructure. Staff say it's hard to put an exact number on it, but it'll likely be multiple years.

Although, I wonder if this would be a higher rate/distance or /ridership as compared to Lines 1 or 2, only one problem-free day in a week on a 10 km line erodes trust for those that depend on it.
