Okay so turns out, it's actually because Branded Cities stopped dimming their billboards at 10/11 PM this past weekend. That's annoying

There's so much snow both falling and on the ground that I'm getting quite detailed reflections of the Yonge/Dundas ads on my bedroom wall.

Usually it's a blurred single colour.

Made the pilgrimage to the TOC (transit-oriented Costco)

I think I'm already jealous. An RT they didn't let rot, dedicated entry and exit gates, and probably the best view from a train I've ever seen (between Main Street-Science World and Granville)

A good opportunity as any to showcase some really pleasant spaces from my travels

A new sneaky GO Transit policy I just noticed. The weekend pass used to be either 24 hours or the end of the weekend, whichever came first. I used to be able to take trips on both Sat evening and Sun morning on one pass.

Now it is only until the end of the current day :(

The Carribean Christmas Village at Fairbank Station.

Very happy to see the plaza now in use for community events.

It's incredible how much space we allocate in the densest part of Toronto to those who don't know what a subway is.

Not to probe, but the city clerk staff sharing their screen has a resource on their favourites bar that I think would be quite useful for Holyday and Bradford.

This CP24 story has been popping up every half hour all day.

It's four people and a contracted driver each time

Based on @ttcalerts.bsky.social, this timeline shows duration of unplanned closures or delays on Line 6. Although, I wonder if this would be a higher rate/distance or /ridership as compared to Lines 1 or 2, only one problem-free day in a week on a 10 km line erodes trust for those that depend on it.

The great ramp of infinite length

I'm guessing it's one of those office-engineers-ticking-the-accessibility-checkbox

No live data yet for Line 6 so uh...

It all makes sense now

According to the December 10th agenda, the TTC is set to allow company adtrackmedia to install in-tunnel advertising.

This would similar to those installed on the Vancouver Skytrain in 2022 where a series of vertical LED panels display ads to be visible at train speeds.
