If the West wanted to prevent Syria from falling back into Russia's sphere of influence, it could have stepped in much earlier but instead it is more focused in securing the deportation or return of Syrian refugees and less about the long term consequences of Syria Russia normalization.

The narrative that the left lost her the election is kinda bullshit. Taking them for granted helped her lose, sure, but it wasn’t the only factor.

Men voted against her in droves. White people voted against her. Why blame the left when you can blame the people who actually voted for Trump?

I worry about this.

I want there to be a place for genuine disagreement; I hate that in this moment of rising global fascism, I don't feel that it's safe to criticize Carney very much. People don't change their votes to NDP or Green, they go towards PP.
