Hi Bluesky! I'm Chazz!
I'm a journalist who writes comics. I'll mostly be showing off One Time Taxes! I'm the lead writer. The others are in my bio.

One Time Taxes is a TrashPunk Action Comedy comic where a Trashman sets out to kill the Evil Space Tyrant, Taxes!

I don't go to conventions to sit in a 2 hour line to play 30 minutes of the new AAAA blockbuster. I want to find people with that creative spirit and celebrate the fact that they made something. As it is now, it feels like I'm trying to talk to someone while standing on a highway, it sucks!

Kind of comes at a time where I'm like
Really harping on the people's power to make GOOD things happen. A lot of money has been made by corporations profiting off of what are originally grassroots efforts.
We can lift each other up instead of flinging our whole hearts at the wall, trying to go viral

Was listening to this video on Eminem by Dasia Shade and this point came up.

Community is so, so important. We're so close to everything and everyone these days but a lot of money has been made just pushing us along to the next thing instead of actually engaging. It sucks!

Attacks on the federal workforce are also attacks on Black workers, who are overrepresented in the public sector.

Black unemployment is 7.5%. I'm reminded of Coates' observation that Black Americans regularly experience conditions that would be considered a crisis if whites faced them.

People: Oh wow, I know Kim always draws him like an idiot murder dork, but I bet Taskmaster is really so scary in the comics..

Taskmaster in the comics:

every now and then I'll peek back over at what's going on in the FGC and just kinda frown.
Whole space kinda lacks on the community aspect 'cause everything needs to be centered around improving at the video game so you can win money or be part of a billion dollar corporation's marketing wing.
