I loved this show. It helped that Katy had some of the energy of one of my first girlfriends.

I am officially in the 21st century now. Cancelled the landline + international free talk, as the folk in SA and Oz are dead or have got their grandkids to show them how to work WhatsApp.

'Ballad of a Small Gambler' it's amazing how much Colin Farrell looks like Dirke Bogarde in some of these scenes.

I can confirm astrology is rubbish..

I am a Scorpio with a 6 as the first digit of my age, and I have NOT died of venereal disease, or been stabbed by a jealous lover or their partner*

So much for all the predictions...

Dear NHS,

Further to your recent letter, I greatly admire and support introducing bowel cancer screening for men over 50.

Sadly, the sample tube you provided was inadequate. If you could kindly wash and return the enclosed tupperware when you've finished with the sample, I would be most grateful.

About to go to my desk after two weeks sick... and find out if my team was disbanded last week. What really burns is I moved heaven and earth to get one of my guys not to leave less than two weeks ago, he declined a job offer, and now... Life coming pretty hard right now.

I do feel sorry for the decent folk left at the BBC, but honestly, they've outsourced all their production anyway.

They are a brilliant exemplar of the adage that the fish rots from the head down....

I often find Bella Caledonia a bit 'strident student socialist splitters', too much ideological purity.

But I can't fault this...

My block thumb is getting a workout today. Folk claiming PA are using weapons, Labourites asking us to deny the evidence of our own eyes in relation to their actual Reform-Lite rhetoric.

Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

On a hobby thread, seeing lots of folk moaning that the 70s was so grey and bleak.. and ffs... have you not seen the orange fibreglass curtains, the wallpaper, the bright orange, purple and lime-green car colours?

Compared to today, the 70s was a riot of colour.

Finally got round to framing this print from my old mate Jonathan Hood, it's only taken 15 years, been sitting in the postal cylinder from UK to Oz, and now it is back home again. Possibly his most travelled print?

Jumped in someone else's car yesterday, BBC radio on. Presenter was talking about the autism/paracetamol debate.

It made me furious. Would they talk about the Flat Earth debate or shape shifting alien debate?

The BBC. Normalising utter insanity (RW propaganda) for years.
