I say this a lot but of all social media, it's the radicalisation of Reddit that I find most acute.

A nice article about Sir Michael Caine leading a campaign to outlaw smacking the mean comment is "the government's too busy blocking a ban on cousin marriage" and "smacking didn't do me any harm".

Wonder if a better solution is just the Government making a big book called 'Things You Ought To Know About Life, Finances, and Taxes, Where to Learn About Them Yourself' and just handing it to all final year pupils after they finish their exams.

Then no one can say you weren't told about them!

Holy shit I finally cancelled my Beer52 subscription after years of meaning to do it (and I was on the minimum subscription and paused it often)

The absolute *hardest* sell of 'Well, we'll give you this if you stay' I think I've ever had, far worse than any utilities or phone companies
