FUN FACT: trump CAVED yet again today, this time to Canada, to postpone his tariffs another 30 days.

The border security plans Canada is enacting were ALREADY planned while President Biden was in office.

Senator Andy Kim just went to the USAID building, talked to the security guard there to confirm employees are being barred entry, and then did a press gaggle right there in front to call it out.

This is doing something. This is making an effort on messaging. Other Democratic lawmakers: take notes.

That time arrived a long while ago. The question now is whether Democratic leaders fully understand and will act accordingly.

Walz: It’s on. The resistance is strong. You felt it. Americans, lo and behold, like democracy and feeding their children. So they're going to fight for these things.

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

We had to get in on the video action too — Bluesky now has custom feeds for video!

Like any other feed, you can choose to pin these or not. Bluesky is yours to customize.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently

I guess that’s it. Bye TikTok. I learned a lot on that app and it’s sad that it’s gone now. Sure glad we have Bluesky at least. #ByeTikTok

I made a thing: scroll-driven, almost pure #CSS infinite circular gallery rotation - check it out on @codepen.io:
codepen.io/thebabydino/...

Using scroll-driven animations and the tiniest bit of JS for the infinity part of it.

Made with 🖤 for this week's #CodePenChallenge.

Just realized I can add a TXT file to my DNS and use my own domain for my Bluesky handle. This is great!

Biden was bringing back American jobs and manufacturing which would’ve cut into Elon’s cheap labor practices. So Elon had to step in and buy the presidency to save his cheap labor.

So when we remove birthright citizenship can we go by the mother? Because:

Don Jr was born in 1977
Ivanka was born in 1981
Eric was born in 1984

Ivana became a US citizen in 1988.

Barron was born in March 2006

Melania became a US citizen in July 2006.

Trump’s entire family would be deported.

It's probably not a good day to remind people that Trump's son in law walked away from his White House gig with $2 billion from the Saudis.

I'll wait until you're finished being mad at Joe pardoning Hunter for being his son.

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!
