Been a hot minute since I've been last posting on social media.

It's been a rainy day today, but I still managed to get the first layer of primer on.
Onwards to sanding the rough spots and with a little luck I can finish painting tomorrow. Fingers crossed the weather will play along.

Child wielding needle unlocked. Just a few more touches and I'm ready for painting.

Needle parts with little dowels installed to help the pieces align and connect better. The tip is re-enforced with a wooden skewer.

This is my favorite new addition. Filled a little bottle with UV resin and added cornstarch to thicken it up plus a nail art UV light with a removable bottom. Perfect for filling in cracks. In the past I used putty, but it takes several hours to cure and sometimes wouldn't bond with the plastic.

The gap in the center was fixed with UV resin. The gaps to the left and right used milliput.

One more small update for today. Printed some mesh to be installed in the eyes and it worked surprisingly well.

Tinkering with the slicer settings to make some mesh for the eyes.
Started with a 1mm thick disk and set the top and bottom layers to 0 to only get the honeycomb infill. This setup has the advantage of changing the infill percentage to adjust the mesh density.

I was going to attend BlenderCon this year, but I fell ill with COVID-19 right before, so I won't be able to make the trip to Amsterdam this year. I've been looking forward to it all year and seeing everyone again, but I guess I'll have to hold out another year.😭
