Pork chop with an Alleppo pepper, cumin, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder rub. 😋

Carrots glazed with butter and brown sugar.

Slices of a previously frozen Olive fougasse.

🍽️🍜🌶️
Had a half pound ground beef patty in the freezer so I pulled it out to make a bunless Hatch green chili cheeseburger.

While pan frying the patty I put in a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce for a little extra flavor.

Mustard and pickles along with. 🍽️🍜🌶️
I do not blame you at all. I'd definitely eat them before using them for a salsa.
While out for lunch in Odessa, TX, I drove 1.5 miles from the nursing home where my brother lives to see the Stonehenge Replica at the UT Permian Basin campus. Just past stores, restaurants, etc and there it is.

Created in 2004 by members of the Art Department.

Your Mamacita's up in the great white North is probably much different than the one here and here in this part of Texas.
Sol dinner in Odessa at Mamacita's Mexican grill. I had spicy green chicken enchiladas and a margarita on the rocks. They make their own enchilada sauces and this was really to my liking. 🍜🌶️🇲🇽🔥
Lunch in Odessa, TX with my older brother who is in a nursing home there. At a Asian fusion place called Volcano.

I had Singapore Mei Fun noodles and I ordered some sushi for him which he barely ate as he spent more time looking at all the people. 🍜🌶️
Yes they have. Private label have been made by bigger brands for a long time. Worked for Jimmy Dean (of the once Sara Lee Corp) & they made or make most store brand breakfast sausage/sandwich products. Last company I worked for what makes corn dogs and beef jerky products under various labels.
Traveling tomorrow.

So I bought HEB deli ravioli with buffalo mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, and pecorino romano. Product of Italy.

Not too bad for an inexpensive pre-made product. 🍜🇮🇹
On the road tomorrow early AM to visit my older, double amputee brother who is in a nursing home in Odessa, TX.

Four hour drive each way. Staying one night. His sleep schedule is erratic so even with that I don't know how much I will actually get to see him and he's not sleeping.
Yes, but iceberg does have its uses. Grilled or in soups or lettuce wraps when you don't want to spend extra money on butter or leaf lettuce. Or for a wedge salad w/1000 Island or dressing of your choice.
Bought a ready to cook petite piece of steak w/two stuffed mushrooms. Added slices of heirloom tomato.

Baked the mushrooms at 350. Pan seared the steak to perfection medium rare.

Added salt, olive oil and feta cheese to the tomatoes.

Hot Thai Canadian Thanksgiving! 🇨🇦 Pailin from HTK lives in Vancouver. This was her Thai influenced Thanksgiving.

"Turkey breast marinated in Gai yang marinade. Served with nam Jim jaew. The “greek-Thai salad” used nam Jim seafood as the dressing. Gravy + jaew combo was very good"

🍜
A baked potato with red chili, cheese and white and green onions. 🍽️🍜🌶️
Something a bit different. 🎶🎸

When he's playing the Hohner bass he's wearing a PAUL shirt. For Sir Paul McCartney. 😀

Nice appetizer of artisanal sourdough toast with a homemade cannellini bean spread, TJs olive tapenade, and finely grated parm. 🍽️🍜
