Anyways the Netflix news reminds me of part of why I’m going into film archives and librarianship. There is not only the larger artistic concerns related to the monopoly of distribution and IP ownership, but to engage with a lot of art there is the unfair financial aspect

I feel so awful for queer and trans teachers bc the moment they give a grade relating to gender it is framed as them being sensitive when if a cis professor did the same they would be given the benefit of the doubt.

Been thinking about the idea of “pro” gaming lately and like outside of obvious e-sports actual professionals, I feel like most ppl who play video games have one game they’ve played enough to be a pro. Like I’m not a great gamer usually but I do think I could do regional Mortal Kombat tournaments

I don't know what I expected really, Graham Linehan gets away with proudly & openly harassing trans women because the courts are heavily weighted towards transphobia, but he's convicted of breaking a phone maliciously because property damage is more obvious & serious I guess.
