My answer is old man's war and it felt like even the characters in the book were actively groaning at the protag. I did not see the appeal at all, and do not understand why anyone liked it. It also feels like a half baked defense of the Iraq war.

The abolish ICE people were shown to be owed an apology a few months ago. I think its time the abolish police people got one too.
