Here's a chart of the marginal tax rate for someone with two kids. They pay 53% tax on every £ they earn between £60k and £80k. 62% on every £ they earn between £100k and £125k.

That's true, they did. I remember my mum telling me that a bomb landed on the main London-Scotland rail line near Gateshead/Newcastle & didn't explode. When they went to defuse it, it was found to be stuffed with Czech newspapers.

The BBC is bloody brilliant. It's central to the fact that British democracy isn't circling the drain like it is in America, it preserves a common culture, and propagates respect for facts. Nothing would calm down a life-threatening moment of crisis in an enclosed public space like a train carriage better than the release of an aerosolised offensive weapon intended to blind and disorient its victims.
I genuinely cannot imagine a better example of "a solution in search of a problem" than some people pushing for legalising carrying pepper spray.
