Digital illustration of a figure standing in a dark field. The top half of the figure's head is missing similarly to a piece of broken ceramic. The opening in their head emits a smoke-like substance that floats into a cloudy, green sky.

Starting to think that pareidolia monkeys making a pareidolia machine was maybe not a great idea

The initial government response has to be given within a couple weeks so it isn't super early guidetoprocedure.parliament.uk/articles/xfT...

Hopefully if the heat stays on and they know it's this unpopular they'll find a way to indefinitely postpone the scheme and never talk about it again

From the diary of Samuel Pepys today in 1665
So I to bed, and in the night was mightily troubled with a looseness (I suppose from some fresh damp linen that I put on this night), and feeling for a chamber-pott, there was none, I having called the mayde up out of her bed, she had forgot I suppose to put one there; so I was forced in this strange house to rise and shit in the chimney twice; and so to bed and was very well again.

Found a secret door in the back of my washing machine. Behind it a tiny room with rows of mice fast asleep in odd-sock sleeping bags.

trying not to pay too much attention to the situation but last week the union jack draped over the Mancunian Way overpass was flanked by an EU and a Palestine flag and today it's three union jacks, but at least the middle one is in pride colours 🤷‍♂️

the political policy cure for “male loneliness” is

- more time to hang with the fellas (4 day work week)

- more money to spend with the fellas (higher wages)

- more things to do with the fellas (taxing the rich and building 3rd spaces)

Digital ID is one of those reasonably practical ideas that I'm dead against for weirdo ideological reasons, but also it obviously won't help at all with any of the things they're trying to use to sell it
