i probably won't make any friends with this one but maybe think twice before you start a substack? i went long on how that's only making things worse for journalists trying to find footing in these precarious times.
one of my ex-pat friends said to me last night that toronto’s meaner now and i feel so cynical that i think that’s probably true but i don’t conclusively know??? i feel it’s meaner (and boring shade of beige!!!!) but there have got to be pockets of vibrant kindness, right?

tomorrow my silly little face is going to be in a cbc documentary talking about why men in music abuse their power and why young female fans are often their targets and it’s so relevant still that it really should just be footage of me slamming my head into my kitchen island
