Don Quixote with a laptop
How’s today going? Bought noise isolating headphones. The only good thing about noise cancelling giving me vertigo and nausea is that noise isolating is less expensive.

Ellis Nelson artwork in my flowerbed. One of many I have.

It shows up better now that the leaves are down and the snow creates background.

Nelson became world-famous. But I remember sitting on his front porch listening to him tell spooky stories while he ate canned stew right from the pot.

Just a reminder that my already extremely low prices etsy store is available for Wheel of Time Black Friday needs.

Both Aes Sedai and Asha'man both think it’s a good idea. There are some rad Hills of Tanchico designs, old tongue t-shirts- and stickers of creator,RJ

Very grateful that this house is eating bagels for breakfast and then going about the day as usual.

If this is what gets people to stop using ai slop? GOOD.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

Been bumping my head against my laptop all day. This was exactly what I needed to read to gather a little clarity and move forward. A restorative for the creative spirit.

This is pretty exciting and also has less of an eww factor than fully grown slabs of lab-grown meat.
For years, plant-based offerings have been mimicking burgers, chicken, and fish.

Mission Barns is one of a handful of startups taking the next step: growing real animal fat outside the animal, then marrying it with plants to create hybrids that look, cook, and taste more like the real thing.
This pig’s bacon was delicious—and she’s alive and well
Mission Barns cultivates pork fat in bioreactors for meatballs and more. Honestly, they're pretty darn good.

All great stories share one special ingredient. Epic Fantasy? Steamy Romance? Hard SciFi? Look carefully and you'll find it: someone getting hit with a briefcase full of bees.

Roadtrip progression:

Night 1: read in bed after dinner

Night 2: write in bed with protein bars

Night 3: Eat cheese & chips in bed and watch tv. Never been so excited to see roadhouse

Sharon Gilham posted that if the exhibition for wheel of time costumes does well in Prague, it will travel. I can’t afford to go to Europe but I bought a ticket bc I dream of seeing that magic in person.

FYI the price= 350 kr = 17 usd

I don’t understand this thing in new fantasy books in which places have names (usually borrowed from welsh, gaelic etc) that mimic euro-style high fantasy but then the character have modern names like McCoy or Armstrong as given names. Somebody please explain.

A big move of support would be to sell out the wot costume show. Most people can’t fly to prague but they can buy a ticket.
