Had a lovely day bothering the birds, felt all zen n shit. Then this evening I missed the bottom step coming down the stairs, fell, and bashed my head on the corner of the radiator. Blood everywhere. EVERYwhere. So much blood. Four hours in A&E and 5 stitches.

The starlings were reluctant to eat from my hand today, I don’t know why. There were fewer of them than last time, and they were definitely more jumpy. This lot seem to be mostly (all?) juveniles, just finishing their first moult. I love starlings so much, the whistle and the pop. 🪶🧡

The assorted rubble of the blitz beach, lots of it rounded by the water. There is some sort of multi-strand rope thing in the middle of the picture, it’s about 2 or 3 foot long, no idea what it is.

Do you wanna see a blurry photo of a curlew (foreground) and a what I think is a dredger (background)? Course ya do! Lots of curlews today, and redshanks. Merlin said there was a black-tailed godwit, too, but I didn’t see ‘em. Great black back gulls knocking about as well, terrifying birds 😁🪶

Will give it a try. (I switched to Duck Duck Go a while back, but it doesn’t seem to have helped - it’s the stuff that’s being presented as legitimate content that’s the problem.)

I use Duck Duck Go, but I still click and read stuff that is obviously AI, i.e. people posting it on their sites or whatever as if it’s legit. It’s so annoying.
