This trip in the US, it was great fun to have more time for backroads. They are my happy place.

The Carmel Valley Road in CA. Starts off with vineyards, then rolling golden hills that are dotted with clusters of oak trees, & then as it drops down in altitude, the road twists through woodlands like this. The twists can be tight!
It's a 'pay full attention' type of road...

A highlight of any trip to #California, for me, is the chance to ride amongst the Redwoods. Proud survivors.

Out of season, I could stand with no other vehicles passing me for nearly 15 minutes. The near silence was wonderful.

Cheers. She's great fun to ride. And the luggage works really well. The Jesse Panniers, Lomo and Ortleib waterproof bags and the Wolfman tank bag are a great combination.

One of the high points from this last trip, was the chance to link up with Chad & Rose. You'll probably know them as 'Two Wheels Three Sheets'.

California. This was a drink of water and admire the view stop. I try to stop every 50 miles, and when there's a great view so much the better. But my eyes quickly turned to admiring this view 😁

Hi Manny, I’m afraid I haven’t ridden one so I’m no direct help. Sorry. However, in my bikes I find that a well designed and well positioned screen makes a huge difference.

I didn't realise just how much wheat is produced in this part of the US. I was there when some of the fields were still green (magical sight indeed) but others were already being harvested. These grain storage towers are a regular sight as you ride aren't they.
