The freedom to change your mind should always come into consideration. A lot of people did not vote and continue to lay the Gaza atrocities at the feet of then VP Kamala Harris. We all knew she needed to win, and no personal issue I had with her could ever outweigh the threat posed by Donald Trump.

Jordy: Republicans control every branch of government. Every day that passes with the gov shut down is another reminder that Trump and the GOP would rather protect pedos than ensure people have health care. Because once the government reopens, you know what’s coming—a vote on the Epstein files.

ICE has been deployed to *provoke* civilians, not to protect them. They want to throw tear gas canisters and get people on the streets riled up, all to create footage for Fox News and Newsmax, et al., that will be used as a pretext for imposing martial law to lower voting rates in Democratic cities.

The only violence I’ve been seeing in Portland is from the so-called Feds!!!

Keep sharing these videos; it’s evidence.

If you want change: VOTE. If you want Democrats in control of the Oval Office: VOTE. If you want a Democratic majority in Congress: VOTE. If you want an end to the Republican Party: VOTE. Don’t rely on your constituents to win an election for you. Every vote counts.

MIKE JOHNSON IS ABETTING AUTHORITARIANISM

THE SPEAKER REFUSES TO NEGOTIATE OR EVEN ALLOW CONGRESS TO RECONVENE!

Here’s how tariffs work. Your costs go up, and that money gets transferred to the wealthy.

Whether you’re progressive, liberal, leftist, libertarian, communist, socialist, moderate, democrat, conservative, Christian, atheist, Gen Z, Boomer… we have the same enemy. It’s the oligarchs.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

In Portland, an ambulance was summoned to the ICE office to treat an injured protester (not clear how he was injured). But when the patient was loaded inside, ICE officers refused to let the ambulance leave and threatened to shoot the ambulance driver: www.wweek.com/news/2025/10...
Documents Allege a Federal Agent at Portland ICE Threatened to Shoot an Ambulance Driver
Feds delayed medics who had come to pick up an injured protester. Then, according to confidential incident reports, the agents became aggressive.

The fact that protests now feature people who don’t normally have to worry about what might happen to them in an adverse encounter with security forces is a HUGE DEAL.

It means that the “real” victims don’t have to suffer alone. It means that some people care about something more than themselves
kevinmkruse.bsky.social
Someone in my mentions is upset because these people haven’t suffered the worst at ICE’s hands and therefore they shouldn’t be praised for being out on the streets?

Yeah, no. To push back on these people we need everyone — especially those with relative privilege — to get up and get involved.

Originalism has coherence as an abstract legal theory.

In practice in the Roberts court, it means BS to get to a policy outcome, distorting and ignoring the text and contemporary explanations as needed.

So I’ll believe “conservative lawyer makes strong originalist argument” matters when I see it.

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

“As a fellow portfolio company of Silver Lake, EA is now, just like Qualtrics, best understood as a surveillance operation.”

When the Saudis backed EA’s acquisition, they bought both cultural power and a surveillance infrastructure. It’s weird to see so much official disinterest in this move.
