The freedom to change your mind should always come into consideration. A lot of people did not vote and continue to lay the Gaza atrocities at the feet of then VP Kamala Harris. We all knew she needed to win, and no personal issue I had with her could ever outweigh the threat posed by Donald Trump.

ICE has been deployed to *provoke* civilians, not to protect them. They want to throw tear gas canisters and get people on the streets riled up, all to create footage for Fox News and Newsmax, et al., that will be used as a pretext for imposing martial law to lower voting rates in Democratic cities.

Originalism has coherence as an abstract legal theory.

In practice in the Roberts court, it means BS to get to a policy outcome, distorting and ignoring the text and contemporary explanations as needed.
