Thousands of posts from a private Young Republican Telegram chat reveal a culture of casual racism/antisemitism, rape jokes and celebration of Hitler/Nazism.

Some of the ringleaders are below: We live in a world where 4chan types now occupy positions of real power.

We live in a society (especially in America) where we have decided that if you are not working you don’t deserve food, housing, or medical care. With this in mind, eliminating jobs without talking about UBI or some other kind of safety net you are just saying those people can go die

don't worry, Sam Altman is confident that his efforts to eliminate vast numbers of jobs will all just sort of work out for the unemployed, eventually, possibly after they starve to death, which is technically a form of having it work out

Sam Altman Says If Jobs Gets Wiped Out, Maybe They Weren't Even "Real Work" to Start With
Worried that AI will destroy work? Well, Sam Altman asks if you've considered what a farmer from half a century ago thinks of your job, first.

Hundreds of dollars per person and with potentially thousands of people at each event it very quickly becomes a influx of cash into an area that would be impossible to hide and would fundamentally alter the local economy at least in the short term.

Especially since the people who say these are paid protestors believe that the ONLY reason the people are there is that they are being paid which means you have to find enough people to show up and then you need to pay them enough to cover a near full days worth or work and travel.
malwarejake.bsky.social
You have to be mathematically illiterate to believe that the people participating in No Kings are paid protesters.

The math does not remotely check out. Paying even a fraction of protesters enough to compensate them for their time would cost *insane* amounts of money.

Structures of the church are political snakes it is slow to remove or punish those people.

Dolan has been brain melted for years. (A lot of white American boomer age clergy are.) the other strength of the church is that white American boomers are a vast minority in the Catholic clergy.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
The strength and failing of the church is its slow to move hierarchical structures that prevent snap ideological changes based on politics. It means that its positions as an institution are slow to radicalize in any direction. However it also means that when people in positions of power within the

Charlie Kirk on Pope Francis:
But the biggest one is the papacy. I can't get over the idea of this Marxist who calls himself the head of your church being a representation of Christ our Lord. I mean that as someone who loves the Catholic impact on the world that says it openly and by the fruit, you will know it and you have very Marxist fruit. Why should I care at all what that guy from Argentina has to say? Well, because you care what your pastor has to say, yes, but if my pastor starts saying crazy things, I find a new pastor. So if your pope starts saying crazy things, maybe he's not the pope and maybe that's a bad representation.

I think gifting a child a high powered rifle might be a bit much but I do think everyone should at least be taught how to safely operate one and demystifying guns early without instilling worship of them is something I think is an overall good.

Seeing the people who were laughing at the idea of empathy when it comes to the suffering of Palestine and/or immigrants all scream crying begging for empathy for a bigot only makes me mad.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
They need to address the root causes of the violence not the tools used to carry them out.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
Because as with all things. Whatever legislation is passed will be disproportionately enforced on minority communities while white militias filled with police will be able to continue to be armed with impunity.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
But it will not solve the violence problem. Yes there might be some kind of reduction but politicians will wave around that they passed some gun reform and then never address the actual Root causes. Leading to continued escalation.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
Guns do not cause violence. Socio-economic struggles/oppression, political extremism, religious extremism, these things are the reasons people reach for weapons in order to say something. The assignation of Kirk might put enough behind gun reform that there is some kind of legislation passed

While I do not know what the training standard is currently when I was in the Basic rifle qualification for the corps was out to 500 yards. I spent my last year as a Marksmanship coach and I guarantee I could train almost anyone to consistently make a shot at 200yd in just a few hours

I am going to take a moment to say something that most will think is out of the blue for me but it’s on my mind:

Hayley Williams is a real one, I can’t think of any other White woman who could throw a strange fruit line in a song and have black folk go wild for it.

She is forever a fav of mine.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
I did not know this existed.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
Yeah. Especially since it was at a time where a skilled mechanic could earn more than enough to support a family.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
True, oh possibly it’s not so much about Car but the implied mechanical skill of the man, as in will be able to do the manly fixing of things around the house.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
My impression is they are supposed to cream at the idea of being bent over Greased lightning by the guy driving the car.

So when the people running around screaming about how everyone else are pedophiles are pointing fingers it is important to really examine who is making the accusation and what motivation there might be to it.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
Because if the narrative is that “oh these politicians or protestors are actually pedos” the people who believe the narrative will shrug and go “guess they deserve it idc” and people who don’t believe it can’t or won’t speak up because then “oh look at this guy speaking up to defend the pedophiles”
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
That commit this crime, up to an including extreme retaliatory violence.

So if the right can convince enough people that “the left” or whatever political idea they don’t like is equivalent to or only held people who abuse children they can manufacture consent for political violence.
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
And then say “well you want to molest children” with the unspoken end of that sentence being “too”

But also one of the few things that is accepted as evil by pretty much everyone (except weirdo libertarians) is that sexual abuse of children is evil. And most people do NOT care what happens to
saltyvet1991.bsky.social
This but also its justification.
As someone on the left it is disturbing to see how often the right boils everything down to “you just want to touch children” a LARGE percentage if not the majority of it is mirroring/projection. They have thoughts and desires about children know it is wrong
