A friend just asked me what I do to stay hopeful and I told him one of my favorite strategies…I stay hopeful by remembering that no one has any idea what the fuck is going to happen, so as long as we don’t know, we gotta do what we can.

#classsolidarity it was surreal to say the words out loud in public. To see a flash of hope in the eyes of my neighbours, the moment they recognize that we’ve already seen each other at our worst. If we did it then we can do it again.

The bravado of the world’s bully didn’t fool us. When trump puffed his chest the north, south, east and west showed that we all have pins long enough to deflate it. In a movement of #classsolidarity the world came together and our bully backed off. Trump showed his hand, it’s empty.

In times like now it’s important that we remember. We are here at the mercy of the treaties that bind us. I am a treaty person, every Canadian is.
