For example if you played swsh, Arceus, and scarvi, and you genuinely think the crunched elements of each game are bad, then that's fine right? At least you did the work to talk about your experiences
But if you just saw a fucking white guy on YouTube say it's bad because trees then shut up man

I think it's fine to have expectations that are negative, I just wish that those expectations were well informed and a product of good faith engagement with something
Or that if you don't have the time to do that sort of engagement, then Shut The Fuck Up and don't parrot reaction content creators

Maybe eventually we'll come back to the point where games are complete when they come out and they can be enjoyed and engaged with without the immediate "oh it's a modern pokemon game? Haha trees" bullshit reaction people have because games are framed as just fuckin products and not made by humans

Perhaps that is a pretty doomer-y opinion, but the fact that uniqueness still exists gives me hope
Pokemon scarvi and Za are clear clear clear indications that there is humanity behind the game and it isn't just shareholder CEO market optimized bullshit

At this point it's a genuine miracle that games still have identifiable unique things about them and they all aren't just. Puzzle platformer action rpgs with skill trees, roguelike elements, and sanitized as fuck controls so you can Pacific rim brain link yourself to your game avatar
