Okay new rule: if you respond to my jokes with advice and I don’t know you, I’m blocking you.

Good morning, by the way.
The number of cosponsors on a bill or resolution isn't necessarily an indicator of whether or not it will pass. Nadler's successful resolution to impeach Trump in 2019 had 0 cosponsors, for example. But it is interesting to me that Kelly has 80 cosponsors on this resolution.
Interesting to note that of the San Diego-area Democrats, @vargas.house.gov and @sarajacobs.house.gov are cosponsors of the articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, and @repscottpeters.bsky.social and @levin.house.gov are not.

I just got irrationally angry at the little slider at the bottom of the phone app, for the way it’s animated to distort as it slides like a little cartoon water droplet. Just absolutely furious at that little thingy that somebody was probably really proud of making.
Listen, I know I am late on this but I finally let my phone install iOS 26 and I just cannot understand how anybody anywhere looked at this Liquid Glass nonsense and thought “Yes. That.”

There's this part in Big Trouble in Little China when this monster floats up behind the group and Jack says "Oh my god, no, please, what is that, don't tell me." And then Egg Shen immediately tells him. And, you know, that's kind of what social media is like.

I got an ad on my sudoku app that was like "Ever have one of those days where everything that could go wrong went wrong?" And, like, I just want to know what it was about my sudoku-playing habits that tipped the algorithm off to my oncoming depression.

(I don't actually want to know.)

can anyone help me:

I would like to start selling the prints of the pigeon paintings online so people can enjoy them without me facilitating it, they can pay less (originals are $200+ and that's $$$), and I want the money to go directly to AABB.

Does anyone know a platform that can support that?

My book, Every Galaxy a Circle, comes out tomorrow. For each like I will tell a random fact about the book. I cannot guarantee they will be interesting.

I watch the bulk of ashleythebaroness videos, despite rarely sharing them.

But this one hit today.

And she's right! We're not dealing with some foreign ideology. We're dealing with a uniquely American phenomenon.

My new journal showed up in last night's mail and on the one hand there's always something exciting and hopeful about starting a new journal but on the other hand, now I'm in that part of the year where my journal hasn't accumulated any stickers yet.

It just struck me that Third Way Dems are just a continuation of that performative 90s apathy where we all stood around in high school pretending not to care about anything because we were afraid of having feelings

I’ve been struggling all day and when I got home I kind of fell apart a little, but then my partner listened to me and opened the window so we could hear the evening birdsong, and maybe that’s all I needed to get through another day

I got my first queries of the year on Friday from people who want a spot on my show. I haven't released a new episode in almost a year, but I also don't know how to say to anyone or even myself that maybe I'm just not going to do it anymore.

I love José's poems, and there's a lot to love about this collection—I think the poems individually and collectively feel like a thinking through of a lot of different things. But I think I love the love poems most. bookshop.org/p/books/prom... #BookThoughts 📚💙

Reading @joseolivarez.bsky.social’s Promises of Gold today and this one matches how it feels today, even though it’s already Monday.
