Had an idea for an RPG that's not just good (IMO), but could potentially open up a whole new branch on the family tree of TTRGP design.
Then I remember it's not D&D so... yeah why even bother, right? Might as well spend my time and energy on literally anything else.

You know those gacha games that personify objects as cute girls? Like battleships, or guns, or tanks? I wonder if anybody has ever done that for D&D spells. Sounds like a license to print money to me. People would go on a fucking crusade over whether Fireball or Lightning Bolt is the better waifu

So, given that D&D is now literally 50 years old, shouldn't we be seeing a lot more about that new 5e+ "One D&D" thing they've been talking about? Promotions like crazy? A very prominent pre-order splashed on the WotC site? Youtube ads trying to crawl into my eyeballs every 90 seconds?
