This! Artists are always undervalued for their work. Thats not new. But people still want pretty art & cool movies etc. The idea that they could “make them” themselves with no work or refining of skills or paying artists who HAVE done that work… is their wet dream. And it SUCKS ASS🤬
I think the actual appeal of AI is not so much that it saves time or money — I actually believe people who say they put a ton of work into refining prompts — but that it “democratizes” art by removing the need for any skill beyond having an idea. It’s a fuck you to talent, basically!
A good point people are bringing up — if they need to pretend that making this commercial was hard work to avoid getting yelled at, they are also undercutting the propaganda that A.I. will give you a ton more free time. Which fake story are you sticking to. bsky.app/profile/cult...

For many, conflict or confrontation of any kind gets interpreted as a threat, even when no one is behaving in a threatening or harmful way. Being yelled at can be alarming, but some of y'all need to see the emotions to understand the impact you have, and shielding social consequences ain't helping.

You can say something affects you 5000x and won't acknowledge/validate you and then they'll say "I didn't know you felt that way"
