The VC and Startup Universe starter pack hit a cap of 150 people so I created also a second list linked below.

Hang on there!

When our kids felt like this the advice was "Pick one subject, the one that's important to you, and always put that one first. The rest, do your best. It's better to be good at one thing than mediocre at everything."

If you skip updates, investors will randomly pepper How's it Going? emails.

If they are good updates, this habit builds trust and you will get a higher follow-on percentage.

If they are bad updates (usual sins: overlong, all good news, focuses on secondary areas) then you will deplete trust.

BREAKING: Look at this.

A new crypto account was opened yesterday morning.

30 minutes BEFORE Trump's announcement of 100% tariffs on China, it added a huge multi-million dollar levered Bitcoin short position, per YF.

The market dumped.

The trader made +$192 million in two hours.

Unusual.

This is such a clever idea on taking kids to museums/galleries
www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
Nadia from London has an idea that sounds such fun you'll be booking a day out asap.
"I've always loved museums," she says,
"but they can be overwhelming for children. For decades now, I've done something called 'playing postcards'
We do
the museum backwards, visiting the gift shop first. Each child gets to choose three postcards. Then they take it in turns to find that particular artwork in the museum and give us a little information about the piece from the details on the postcard, or from any gallery plaque. At the end of this treasure-hunt-style activity, we vote for our favourite in the cafe."

You're absolutely right on the product, having both lists and packs is needlessly clunky

I have a list on my timeline that mirrors the startup starter pack

The US wants the world to buy its fossil fuels. China wants to sell the world its clean-energy technologies.

There is one clear winner — for now
China Is Beating the US in the Battle for Energy Export Dominance
China’s exports of clean energy technology hit a record in August, with $20 billion shipped globally.

Sorry to hear that. Your essay is spot on. Will add that the lab scientists who choose to work on cancer are often the most brilliant, most humble and most passionate people in our society. The government should give them every support.

The worst moment this year was when I posted "AI will take over" and another guy disagreed and said his own ideas.

Oh wait, that's just a conversation.

Nope, nothing toxic.

Mainly I would like to see a cessation of calls for violence by all right now.

We should also treat ALL human beings with basic respect and dignity and fairness... no matter the person's legal status, wealth, gender, or politics. The moral society I want to live in values kindness over hatred.

What I wonder more than the ideology is how many of those shooters were trained by an organized group (like Al Qaeda or paramilitary) vs. radicalized by a political leader or party (but acting alone) vs. Nihlist loners. That might help us prioritize actions to reduce political murders.
russwilcox.bsky.social
We know the vast vast majority of left, right, AND Islamic people are not political murderers. So this chart is nowhere close to root cause.

Agree with you that data is often abused.

This particular chart seems aimed at encouraging anger and division by getting different groups to point fingers at each other.
