We are burning every forest and poisoning every river to produce more Juiceros. You will become obsolete if you don't get on the Juicero bandwagon. Students must not be taught how to hand-juice. 80% of jobs will be lost to the Juicero. Students must be taught to exclusively focus on how to collaborate with the Juicero. Education must focus on orchestrating agentic Juicero systems. The Juicero is inevitable. Adopt the Juicero or be left behind. Adapt or risk becoming obsolete. As the Juicero rapidly advances toward automating up to 90% of juicing, the skills that will matter most include juice design, Juicero fluency, juice delegation, and juice quality assurance. 110% of jobs have been replaced by the Juicero.

The opening paragraph from @tvmojoe.bsky.social's latest Buffering column, about the potential purchase of WBD by Paramount, is just a repeated series of punches in the gut.
Perhaps as soon as next week, upwards of 2,000 workers at CBS, Paramount Pictures, Pluto, Paramount+, and iconic cable networks such as MTV and Comedy Central will be told that they no longer have jobs. A letter will go out from Paramount CEO David Ellison or one of his underlings expressing sadness over this turn of events and likely lamenting that these layoffs were unavoidable, the result of “radical shifts in the entertainment industry” that necessitated dramatic cost reductions. And then, without missing a beat, and without any sense of irony, Ellison will go back to work figuring out how to spend billions that Paramount supposedly doesn’t have so he can buy up an even bigger company, Warner Bros. Discovery; mine it for intellectual property; combine two major studios and TV-network operations into one — and then cut even more jobs.
