(I’m not trying to be one of those people who are like “oh, I see you have a problem so this is how you fix it”. But I also know one doesn’t always think clearly after something like this, so it can help to have an outside perspective about next steps)

Personal injury lawyers usually work on contingency so you don’t pay unless they win your case. If you have injuries needing medical treatment or bike damage that is going to cost $$$ - ask for a free consult to see what they think.

At the very least, one would hope that the police would charge them with a hit and run.

Also, you should make sure you are checked out by a doctor within a day or two. Soft tissue injuries can take a while to show up - especially if you’re surging adrenaline right now.

Pro tip: if you’re a non-UK citizen and have to travel to the UK, you probably need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).

Don’t be like multiple people in my tour group and just go for the first Google result. Go through the Gov.UK website and save yourself a ton of money.

I made the suggestion that maybe a new WhatsApp group should be started BEFORE the trip to not clog up the other chats (especially since we arrive Tuesday but don’t meet as a group until Wednesday).

Apparently this is a silly idea and it’s totally fine to not coordinate anything until 9am Wed.

So the Ireland group trip had an email list and an FB group set up a few weeks before the trip to keep everyone informed.

The Scotland trip doesn’t have anything set up yet, but they have 2 WhatsApp groups from 2 previous trips that various people are on (including people not coming this year).

I believe that is the one I’m thinking off. I remember them having an initial funding campaign to buy tokens and how you’d get additional access if you contributed.

I also remember how sketchy I thought it was even back then.

Did the ARG for that one crypto game (with the Star Credits(?)) ever get off the ground? I know they had grand plans (an ARG! TV show! Comics and books!) but I didn’t follow it that closely to see if there was anything other than coins/credits.
