Yes Lenin had Trotsky killed. This was shortly after Karl Marx became president of Russia and confiscated everyone‘s toothbrush.
I'll explain it better: Lenin's solution to winning power was just to kill literally everyone who disagreed with him or threatened him. Starting with the Czar and working through all the ranks of society, and ultimately his own party. He had Trotsky killed by an assassin with an ice pick.

What’s funny is a not insignificant obstacle to team Trump’s authoritarian aspirations is how much fbi agents and military officers hate Kash and Hegseth respectively, but they won’t fire either of them for a soft reset because they have it in their heads they can’t fire anyone this time.

Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.

If Democrats win the 2028 presidency they aren’t going to stay popular by coasting on centrist pleasantries. The economy will be bad, the media will be hostile, and the only way for them to stay popular during it will be to work much more cooperatively with activists than Biden did.

Like Riley Gains tying for fifth, this is a situation where a cis woman was graded based on the merits of their work but because a trans person was involved it is unfair that they didn’t win.
