If people were to use the techniques of ABA on a dog, it would be animal abuse.

It's almost universal that kids who have been abused by ABA develop extreme PTSD/CPTSD before they're 30.

I've never seen a single skill taught to an autistic kid by an ABA therapist that required ABA therapy to be learned. Not one.

I *have* seen many harms imposed upon autistic kids because ABA therapists considered autistic traits like sensory needs "behaviors," however.

Philosophers who think an immortal would be totally unproductive are making an error reminiscent of the error of the AI proponents who argue that nobody actually wants to do the creative tasks that AI is automating. There's a stark ignorance of the intrinsic reward of creativity.

Do not fucking use Grammarly for your papers.

It will change your quotes. It will ruin your writing. It will mark your papers as using AI.

Fucking don't use it!! Edit your own work and grow!

Hey #portfolioday I usually make stuff for things like ttrpgs & movies. The last 2 yrs have been a lot of applying/rejections & it was making me think things like ‘you’ll never work again’/‘you were never good enough to stay’. So I said F*ck it & started making my own things.

Keep in mind that Viktor has formally adopted Hallvar as his kin by now. It gives nosy dad energy. #WIPSnips -- The 5th Hero is a Beast on #RoyalRoad

Viktor, however, enjoyed snooping, as long as he was the one doing it.
In the weeks of consistency, the guildmaster made it a point to ask Hallvar about their new “friend” which was a massive red flag in any context.
He didn’t care about Hallvar’s well-being, at least not on such an intricate level. It wasn’t like the guildmaster was tallying a balance book to ensure his pet hero was properly socialized and maintained good nutrition.
So it was fucking weird when the guildmaster asked more than once about Hallvar’s “friend.” The airquotes were palpable.
“What, are you spying on me?”
Viktor gave the idiot a long stare. “Do you mean to chide me for successfully doing my job?”

Fantasy world that has enough parallels with irl and nations with independent (irl) cultural aspects that it's new but relatable.
I tend to write in medieval-lite settings (albeit where inventions can exist from up to around 1800 if I can justify it) so that helps.

In my Fantasy novels they tend to be new world settings. The exception to that is #TamLin which is a mix of otherworld and the mortal world

My Dystopia and suspense novels are real world settings
