I think we have to be aware that animation and game development is beginning to repackage old tech as AI even though it isn't, purely for corporate jargon reasons and doesn't mean they're shifting to slop. However, it does still muddy the waters and have a hand in manufacturing consent.

That's all fine and dandy in theory but in this economy it's not very realistic. I don't think we should be shaming people for doing what they need to do to feed themselves. Now going above and beyond what is necessary to survive especially in an amoral manner? Shame away.
We need to permanently retire "get that bag" and bring back the shame of selling out!! Sorry!!

This is something about "AI" that I have a hard time putting into words, but creators just love the WORK. It's just fun. Even when it's hard. All the thinking, and all the detail work, and all the struggle, it makes the things we make, I don't know... have weight and value for us.

I don't play Warhammer or 40k but I occasionally indulge in reading the lore when I run across it and I have to ask those more knowledgeable do I want to know how the Adeptus Mechanicus got ahold of the skull of Nikola Tesla when even the bit of lore notes that he was cremated?
