Anyone want to see a conversion attempt hit the woodwork not once, not twice, not three times but FOUR TIMES on its way between the sticks. Crossbar Challenge Level: Impossible.

Hannah Brink for the US Naval Academy team
Reminds me of the story of a prospective ref being asked this test question:
‘What would it be if, in the act of converting a penalty, the ball burst & landed on the crossbar?’
Candidate answered:
‘A bloody miracle!’

The crushing irony of him saying, out loud, “They are dividing us, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture in.”

When the whole ‘othering’ approach he & his party have adopted is laced with division!

A 🧵about #WRU control:

Since the WRU’s big reveal of their latest data-backed Optimal Solution last Friday, most of the media focus has been on their plans to now cut one, not two clubs.

It’s safe to say that this has gone down like a cup of cold sick. Again.

A great thread 🧵, summing up exactly what many of us have been saying for some time:
- WRU control over things has previously proven disastrous!
- What incentives are there for investors when they have no control over the actual ‘product’ in which they’re investing?

Which also shows he’s done no homework on how we’ve ended up where we are, nor how people felt about it at the time of regional rugby’s inception.
There’s emotionally detached. Then there’s ill-informed.

It also does feel as though the NEDs inputs must be being largely ignored by the Executive.

▶️ WATCH: NAHT policy officer, Andy Walls, gave evidence to the Education Select Committee this morning on the RAAC crisis and the need for further funding to make our school buildings safe.
There’s a reason I said, ‘Live in the moment’, Ed…

The inevitability of the wheels coming off is one of life’s constants & at my age, such routine is reassuring.

It’s similar to why as a Cardiff supporter I feel deeply uncomfortable when lineouts or scrums go well… it’s just not normal.

My friend Mark Mardell was chucked off his Turkish Airlines flight at the weekend because he had Parkinson’s and his son had asked for assistance for him. (He’s written about it as a public post on Facebook but the link is proving hard to share outside,)
If you had to show kids how to fix the defender, draw the man & time the pass, that passage of play illustrates it perfectly.
I’m not sure that whole move & try is getting the wider plaudits it deserves. Absolute quality! 😎
Grit, commitment, composure.
I wouldn’t be remotely surprised.
Reminds me to live in the moment…
Jarrod v Leinster, of course! Who could forget!?
Tonight was about grit & total commitment. Superb win against a very tidy & confident (in the 1st half) Edinburgh side. Cracking atmosphere once again at CAP! 🔵🌑
Going to bed thinking the inevitable was going to happen in the by-election & then waking to see Caerphilly send Reform packing is a pretty good start to the day!

Turnout made the difference, analysts are saying, & shows people cannot afford to be lethargic about voting in Senedd elections!

NAHT has been clear that one-size-fits-all inspection fails to take account of the complexity and context of many schools, and that bespoke methodologies for different phases of education and school types are needed.

I mean, it’s a strategy, I guess…

The policy equivalent of rolling in manure to put off people from wanting to talk to you.
