I left X months ago. At some point, surely, a threshold is passed where it is no longer appropriate for Governments to continue to have a presence on that platform. If its AI going full-on Nazi is not that threshold, what is? www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

Is AI the corruption of information? In the same way that cryptocurrency is the corruption of money?

If so, then we are about to be overwhelmed by corruption of information.

For me, social media can also corrupt people’s souls, with the amount of fascist brainwashing that’s going on.

One of the points in the Jo Cox Foundation report was that proportionate responses to political violence damage democratic connections. More safety measures and less public visibility make representatives less accessible.
These new bars around the Palace of Westminster are certainly one of those things nodded through Parliament without much thought - but *my god* it looks terrible. And it symbolically and physically enforces that separation between politicians and people - which is very bad in the current climate

Gonna harp on this for a second but everyone should know AI is a Nazi project. Not just Grok. All these genAI companies are seeking to brainwash you and make you dependent on a machine that controls information and kills free expression. Grok is just more explicit about it than the others.
“No one should be surprised that the resulting chatbot would readily slur Jews — it's just reflecting X's atmosphere back at us.”

Because no one spends as much on science as the US does, destroying NIH, NSF, NOAA, NASA, EPA, USDA, USGS, etc. is leading to a brain drain, but it's not to other countries but rather from science. This senseless destruction of US science will hurt the US and the world for a very long time.
To see why destroying the US science enterprise is so detrimental to the world, we have to realize that the US spends more on research and development than any other country in the world (by far), and if we remove China and Japan, the US spends almost as much as ALL other countries combined.
