This regime supports energy over wildlife. That is, they promote corporations and sacrifice conservation to do so.

Look for: consideration of economic impacts and national security.

Take home: wildlife and conservation issues will be ignored if big oil, coal, or “national security” concerns exist.

Want to see how far right the Republican Party has gone?

Watch George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan answer a question about illegal immigration during a 1980 debate.

They wouldn’t even be allowed in today’s Republican Party.

Yesterday my dogs and I hiked 2.5 miles up a mountain to look for a geocache. We got within 1/4 mile of it, but there was still a big ravine between us and the cache. We're all old so we gave up and sat down to ate our lunch instead. I didn't find the geocache, but I did get to enjoy this view.

📌Today I learned Republicans are targeting whales, seals, and polar bears. The ghouls who said boogeymen were going after our cats and dogs, are literally coming after WHALES, SEALS AND POLAR BEARS.

📌I hate them. I mean I FUCKING HATE THEM. There can be no reconciliation with these morbid monsters.

I'm retired and I started baking sourdough bread back in March. Since then I spend at least an hour every day thinking about baking sourdough bread. I have a lot to learn, but I haven't been this obsessed about anything since I wanted a horse when I was 7.

One day during Covid I took a pix of a butterfly. I showed it to my wildlife biologist husband. Suddenly he's chasing butterflies with his camera. He's learned to identify each species and now does butterfly surveys at a state park. All because I took a photo.
