Yesterday my dogs and I hiked 2.5 miles up a mountain to look for a geocache. We got within 1/4 mile of it, but there was still a big ravine between us and the cache. We're all old so we gave up and sat down to ate our lunch instead. I didn't find the geocache, but I did get to enjoy this view.

One day during Covid I took a pix of a butterfly. I showed it to my wildlife biologist husband. Suddenly he's chasing butterflies with his camera. He's learned to identify each species and now does butterfly surveys at a state park. All because I took a photo.

I took my 87-year-old father to get groceries. At the end of an aisle he nearly ran his cart into a woman close to his age who he couldn’t see coming. Dad apologized, and the next thing I know they’re both laughing and pretending to push their carts into each other. It was adorable.
