Congratulations to Antipope Trevor Halford
The BC Conservative Party just announced they have removed John Rustad as their party leader.

Comes hours after Rustad said he was staying on despite 20 MLAs calling for his removal, arguing there was no mechanism for the party to turf him as leader after winning his leadership review.

It will never stop being funny to me that the shattering of the BC right started when they rebranded as "BC United." #BCPoli
The BC Conservatives currently hold 39 seats

So, theoretically, if 20 of them were to leave the caucus and form their own party, they could end up the official opposition 💁‍♀️

I love Franklin and read these books aloud to my kid, as did so many of us. KCP is a fantastic Canadian publisher, and I stand with them. Sending so much support to the author and illustrator, and also hoping to eventually see Hegseth get the life he deserves.

Kindness, empathy and inclusion are the polar opposite of what the Trump regime stands for.

Compassion makes Trumpism impossible. It’s antimatter, antivenom and antidote all in one. No wonder they’re doing all they can to kill it.

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

Lol, Zillow tried to rate the climate risks facing individual properties. The real estate industry *hated* it, precisely because it worked -- it made selling risky properties more difficult. So they rebelled & Zillow caved.

Don't look up!

Don't worry, I'm sure Pete Hoekstra will be along any moment to condemn this interference in another country's politics.
I’d really love someone to explain to me how the admin’s Latin America policy is consistent regarding narcotrafficking.

(Please don’t reply to this saying it’s consistent because he supports right-wingers. That’s not what I’m asking!) open.substack.com/pub/dropsite...

The first rule of Fight Club: Don't talk about Fight Club unless it's on background.
Wow — Senators Van Hollen, Smith, Murphy, Sanders, Warren, Markey, Merkley, Heinrich have created an official internal "Fight Club."

They're challenging Schumer & Gillibrand's leadership, arguing the party is using an old, corporate-friendly playbook insufficient to take on Trump or win elections.

It's worth imagining what the reaction from the Liberal base would have been to exactly the same policies had they been brought in by Poilievre.
It’s pretty remarkable how in a minority government situation, Carney forces budget votes without offering olive branches to other parties then repeatedly takes positions like this that are alienating to his base and own Liberal MPs
