Christmas baking/cooking has begun!
Today I made a traditional French Canadian delicacy called Cretons. You spread it on crackers or bread with a bit of mustard. (5 jars in the background).

Woke up in complete agony. My back is totally out. The pain is excruciating. Managed to get myself to the sofa. I am icing my lower back and took 2 Tylenols. It’s going to be a tough day.

After yrs of brushing off GERD, things got bad 2 weeks ago. Now it’s all mild foods: no coffee, tea, tomato sauces, garlic, onions, citrus, pepper, fizzy drinks, chocolate, or caffeine. It’ll take about 8 weeks for my esophagus and LES to recover, so I’m being extra mindful of what I eat. #GERD

What is going on with the price of chocolate chips? Walmart & Metro are charging $5.65 to $6.48 per bag. To make things worse, the bags used to be 300g, but now they’re 250–270g. Not that long ago, I could buy 2 bags of 300g for $6 total. Honestly, these companies are really taking us for fools.

Women are expected to go the extra mile, not b/c they want to prove more, but b/c society has taught them that their worth depends on constant effort & care. We carry invisible labour at home, work, & relationships, doing more to be seen as equal in systems that still demand too much from us.
