Most housing options that help women with kids not women. Most housing options do not account for brain injury e.g. vibrations from A/C & heating units, bright lights & noise, cross-talking if in communal setting (elevator, lobby, etc.), taking public transit is challenging. /4

Women in violent/abusive relationships suffer financial abuse, likely unemployed so she's vulnerable or underemployed to support abuser. When leaving the relationship, her housing choice is 0 b/c not advanced in her career to solely afford it. If live in rural, not much support, if in $$$ city /3

When women are beaten up & get #BrainInjury, the victims are afraid to tell her perpetrators despite the symptoms for fear of retribution. With brain injury, you're likely to be fired, not hire-able because of #ableism. Live on the streets, & raped. Can't heal. W/ no address, hard to get services /2

#Racism within Canada is depending on your skin colour. West Coast (British Columbia) = anti-Chinese racism. Asians also get mistaken as "Indigenous people", so also experience anti-Indigenous. East Coast (Nova Scotia) & Alberta = anti-Black racism. South Asians = anti-Asian & anti-black racism
