Under a zero tolerance policy, the first Trump administration separated immigrant children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border.

New data suggests separations now happen all over the country, often after little more than a traffic stop.

SPOILER ALERT: The shortest shipping distance by sea from Venezuela to the USA is approximately 1,649 nautical miles (3,054 kilometers). It typically takes days to make the journey. The idea that small, open boats without any beds or extra fuel on board are making the journey is insane.

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

Reuters reached out to everyone that Trump or his subordinates singled out publicly for retribution, and reviewed hundreds of official orders, directives and public records. The result: the most comprehensive accounting yet of his campaign of payback.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

Oddly enough, in media coverage of Dems' video warning against carrying out illegal orders, there's very little discussion of *whether it's actually reasonable to fear Trump is giving illegal commands or not.*

The evidence is strong that he is. Media should say so:

US institutions turned out to be weak, and we have to rethink conventional wisdom.
