I guess you missed when I said it, or maybe the text box was too big so I'll try again.

Platner isn't running unopposed within the primaries. Schumer directly intervened with the promise of the party's funds that could have gone to finding candidates to run anywhere in the country.

Responding to Mills’s announcement, a coalition of youth groups, including the College Democrats of American and David Hogg’s Leaders We Deserve, all endorsed Platner. If Democrats lose Maine this cycle, they have little chance of regaining the Senate any time this decade. (3/3: Drop Site News)
